there is nothing written, but obviously Cisco would prefer you to have CCIE if you want to work for them. There were cases when for some people it was easy to join Cisco even without having CCIE. In my case, I had one CCIE and when I got rejected during my first interview around 2004 I was told that &quot;I'm not capable enough&quot;. So for me, that was one of the reason I took the 2nd one, just to prove that I was capable. Perhaps in different cases, it was not necessary. Or probably in other case, even someone has 2 but Cisco won't hire for some other reason.</description>
